The long days have arrived, the harbour is sparkling, and summer is officially here! Whether you’re lounging on the decking with a chilled drink in hand, exploring local trails bursting with wildflowers, or dipping your toes in the sea, this is the season to slow down and savour nature at its best.
To celebrate the warmer months, we’ve shared a simple elderflower syrup recipe on our Instagram page – perfect for adding a floral twist to cocktails, spritzes, or even drizzled over ice cream. Keep an eye out over the coming weeks as we post more seasonal recipes, from summer fruit coolers to herb-infused lemonades – easy to make in your holiday kitchen or enjoy picnic-style by the coast.
We were thrilled to welcome our very first guests to Pebble and Pine this spring, and their lovely feedback has us even more excited for the summer ahead. With bookings picking up and the park coming to life, we’re looking forward to a busy season filled with memorable stays. Keep an eye on your inbox and our social media – we’ll be launching exclusive offers and a few fun giveaways over the coming months to say thank you for being part of our journey.
Make the most of early summer around Rockley Park with scenic walks, delicious bites, and family-friendly fun.
WONDER THROUGH POOLE
Visit Arne Nature Reserve this month. Take a peaceful wander through ancient woodlands, open heath, and shoreline paths at this stunning nature reserve. It’s a great place to spot wildlife and enjoy wide-open views across the harbour, and dogs on leads are welcome on most trails.
Take a flat, scenic promenade with panoramic sea views, beach cafés, and fresh salty air at Sandbanks to Bournemouth beach walk. Dogs can’t go on the main beaches from May to Sept, but the promenade path is open to all — perfect for a morning stroll or sunset wander.
EAT IN POOLE
Treat yourself to a relaxed lunch or dinner at The Cliff. Smart pub-restaurant near the sea. With fresh seasonal dishes and an outdoor terrace where dogs are welcome, it’s ideal for a sunny afternoon bite or evening tipple.
Enjoy classic fish and chips beside the water at Lakeside Fish & Chips. Afterwards, take a leisurely walk around the lake. Family-friendly and relaxed, this is a must for a traditional seaside meal — and your pup will love the surrounding green space.
ENJOY POOLE
If you’re looking for a relaxed day out with leafy shade and space for dogs to roam, Upton Country Park is a brilliant choice. Wander through the gardens and woodlands, discover the open-air sculpture trail, or take younger visitors to the woodland play areas. The park’s tea rooms offer homemade cakes and a refreshing cream tea, best enjoyed al fresco. It’s a calm, creative alternative to the energy of Poole Park – and dogs are welcome across most of the grounds.
Explore the harbour by taking a boat tour. Spot Brownsea Island, or venture along the Jurassic Coast on a scenic boat tour from Poole Quay. A calm, breezy way to soak up the views. Some boat operators welcome dogs on deck, so it’s worth checking ahead!
